Plans, develops, and implements multiplatform strategic communication plans.
Shoot/edit/produce internal videos for creative video messaging for employee communications.
Supports County Administrator and Director of Administrations with digital video graphics and videos for social media accounts.
Manage the creative development and production of video, photography, and media for the county access channel, social media and online platforms; and resources.
Receive, evaluate, and prioritize requests for video productions and audiovisual services from the county.
Identify programming opportunities.
Knowledge of social media strategy and use.
Ability to work to collaborate with team members.
Serve as key member of the Public Information team.
Oversee operations for government access channel, streamed content, and web-based and archived videos.
Set up equipment.
Conduct live meeting broadcasts.
Performs special projects as directed by Director.
Participates in 24/7 social media monitoring rotation.
Stays abreast of social media trends.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Knowledge of the operational and system administration aspects of business desktop and networking environment including all Microsoft Windows platforms.
Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques, equipment, software and methods for video, and audio production, direction, development, and live and recorded broadcasting and streaming; sound and video recording and editing; media and design technologies; concept development and script writing including alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
Knowledge of photography principles, practices, techniques and software including camera and peripherals operations, lighting, subject presentation, and editing software.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Skilled in communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing and understanding and carrying out oral and written instructions in the English language.
Good communication skills and a willingness to train and certify in multiple systems and equipment is required.
Strong preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate the ability to handle complex projects and has a strong work ethic, the ability to work with and without supervision, and have good communication skills.
Ability to respond to calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and a flexible schedule as needed per project implementation, system administration or staffing requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge and/or certifications in a Windows environment and Microsoft products deployed in the last ten years and working knowledge in multimedia and communications.
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college in multimedia, communications, journalism, Digital Media, marketing, public relations, or related field with one-year work experience.
OR An equivalent to an Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course in professional digital media field with five-year work experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
